Best Buy and Sprint have teamed up to offer 12 months of free wireless service to students. The Unlimited, My Way student promotion includes unlimited voice minutes, unlimited texting, and 1GB of data. Users can add unlimited data for $10 per month.

This holiday season, only in Best Buy stores, any eligible student* can get 12 months of free talk, text and 1GB data when they buy a qualifying phone and get an Unlimited, My WaySM plan.
In order to qualify for the offer, a phone must be purchased at a Student Activated Price at Best Buy and verify their enrollment at a college, high school, or middle school within 14 days.
The deal saves eligible students $70 per month. If you refer a friend to the program, you’ll get another 12 month of free service to share, but both lines have to be on the same account. And there is the little matter of a $36 activation fee for each device activation, so be ready for that on your first bill. And of course, at the end of the 12-month promotional period, the usual $70 per month charge will kick in.
The promotion runs through the end of the year.
