Apple has seeded two software upgrades for OS X Mavericks to its employees. A “source with knowledge of the upcoming updates” tells 9to5Mac the updates are labeled as OS X 10.9.1 and OS X 10.9.2.
The first update is expected to be released later this month, and it will serve as an update to squash bugs that accompanied the OS X 10.9.0 release of Mavericks last month. Many users have complained about issues relating to the Mail and iBooks applications, and Apple is preparing to release individual bug-fix updates for those apps in the coming days…
OS X 10.9.1, codenamed “Board,” has yet to be seeded to AppleCare employees, it is currently being tested solely by Apple’s software engineering personnel. OS X 10.9.2 is also in testing. The release, codenamed “Carve,” is likely a collection of more bug fixes and possibly minor feature bumps.
9to5Mac’s sources also report Apple is seeding OS X 10.10 “Syrah” to more employees internally. The source reports the build number is up around build #60. Apple is expected to bring the look and feel of OS X more in line with that of iOS 7 in “Syrah.”
