Apple has been reported to be working on a fix for the OS X Mavericks Mail app, and now is reported to be working on a load of performance and bug fixes for several other OS X Mavericks applications. The following updates have been seeded to Apple employees: iBooks, Safari, and the Remote Desktop Client.
For iBooks, Apple says that the new version (1.0.1) “includes bug fixes and improvements to performance and stability.” iBooks is a new application in Mavericks that allows the reading and downloading of iBooks and iBooks Textbooks.
The Safari update is labeled as version 7.0.1, and the .0.1 numbering indicates that the release is intended to fix bugs and/or improve performance, not add any new features.
The update to the Remote Desktop Client app, (ver. 3.7.1), addresses “several issues related to overall reliability, usability, and compatibility.”
The OS X Mavericks Mail update is reportedly a dedicated patch that will be released separately. The “Mail Update for Mavericks 1.0” “improves stability and compatibility with Gmail, and includes fixes for users with custom Gmail settings.”
No word as yet on when amy of the updates will be released.
