iPhone supply issues led to lower sales of the iPhone for number four wireless carrier T-Mobile in the third-quarter.
CNET:
That’s likely why its iPhone sales were far short of its competitors, despite posting strong customer gains. Chief Marketing Officer Mike Sievert disclosed on an analyst conference call on Tuesday that iPhone sales for its T-Mobile brand represented roughly 15 percent of its T-Mobile branded smartphone sales.
T-Mobile’s sales for Q3, including those from its prepaid MetroPCS brand, amounted to 5.6 million smartphones. T-Mobile did not supply a specific figure for how many iPhones that included.
The total would rank significantly behind the 3.9 million sold by Verizon, or even the 1.4 million Sprint saw go out the door in Q3.
