The iPhone continues to attract new customers for wireless carrier Sprint, as the carrier reports it sold nearly 1.4 million iPhones in the third-quarter of 2013, 40% of those went to new subscribers.
From Sprint’s Press Release:
Quarterly net income was $383 million, operating loss was $398 million, and Adjusted EBITDA* was $1.34 billion.
Sprint sold nearly 5 million smartphones in the third quarter, of which 1.4 million were iPhones. That was a bright spot in otherwise gloomy subscriber numbers, as the Sprint platform lost 360,000 postpaid subscribers in Q3. They did gain 84,000 prepaid subscribers and 181,000 wholesale and affiliate subscribers.
