iPad Air Supplies to Be Plentiful, Apple to Offer Personal Pickup on November 1st

MacRumors reports that it looks as if the new iPad Air will be in good supply on November 1st, as Apple will reportedly accept online requests for Personal Pickup.

MacRumors:

With Personal Pickup, prospective buyers can reserve an iPad Air online beginning at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time and pick it up at a nearby Apple retail location later that same day without waiting in line.

iPad Personal Pickup availability on launch day is unusual for Apple, as they did not offer it for the iPad 2, the last tablet that did not have pre-orders available for it. The company also did not offer Personal Pickup for the iPhone 5c on launch day, although there was an ample supply of the devices available.

While supplies of the iPad Air don’t appear to be constrained, Apple’s other soon-to-be-released tablet, the Retina iPad mini may not be widely available until early 2014.

Online orders for the iPad Air will be accepted beginning at 12:01AM Pacific Time in the United States, and at various times in other countries. Apple retail locations will open at 8AM local time in the U.S. and other countries in Europe and Asia.
