Flexibits today released Fantastical 2 for iPhone, the new version of its popular calendar app. The new version is redesigned and reimagined for iOS 7, with Reminders support, a new week view, and more.
The app is a paid upgrade for all users, but is available for a limited time at an introductory price of $2.99, but will move to $4.99 at a later date.
Fantastical 2 continues the ease of use found in the original Fantastical calendar app. Just enter “Lunch with Glenn in Chicago on Friday,” and Fantastical 2 will schedule it. On an iPhone 4S or higher, just speak the details for your appointment, and Fantastical 2 will enter the info for you.
Features include:
- See your events and dated reminders together in the main list
- Add reminders directly from the Reminders list or new event screen
- Set dates, times, and geofences (when I arrive/when I leave)
- Create reminders by starting your sentence with “reminder”, “todo”, “task”, or “remind me to”
- Create alerts with phrases such as “remind me tomorrow at 3PM”, “alert 1 hour before”, or “alarm 3PM”
- All-new event details, including a map to show your event’s locations and better repeating event options
- Birthday options – tap on a birthday to see contact information or send a quick greeting
- Tap an event or reminder to show and edit its details
- View and manage your Facebook events
Fantastical 2 supports all the same calendar services as iOS 7’s built-in Calendar app, which includes iCloud, Google Calendar, Exchange, and more.
