Best Buy is reportedly set to run a promotion next week that could allow you to walk out of one of their stores with an iPhone 5c with no out-of-pocket expenses. Well, maybe sales tax.
A trusted source has provided us with a screenshot of an internal Best Buy document that states the retailer will be running a promotion from Oct. 13 to Oct. 19 that will allow you to trade-in select smartphones and receive a minimum of $100 in credit. The phones must be in working condition and be free of cracked screens or water damage to qualify.
There is reportedly a catch, as the gift credit must be used to sign-up for a two-year contract on either an iPhone 5c or 5s. But, if you were planning on buying either of those anyway, and you’ve got an eligible smartphone laying around taking up space…
Of course, not all stores may be participating, so it’s probably a good idea to give your local Best Buy a call before running over there on October 13th. Also, if you still have the packaging and instructions, and maybe the original accessories that go with your trade-in unit, you might want to dig those up, as the screenshot above looks to say that might add a couple of bucks to your gift card total.
