Apple has issued a firmware update for the Apple TV today, bringing the firmware up to version 6.0.1, build number 11B511d. This follows Tuesday’s addition of a new iMovie Channel designed to allow users of new features in iOS and Mac versions of iMovie to share videos they create seamlessly between their Apple devices, including the Apple TV.
No word from Apple as of yet on what’s been changed or added in this download. We’ll keep you updated if we find anything notable in the update.
Your Apple TV can be updated over-the-air via “Settings” -> “General” -> “Software Update.”
(UPDATE 10/25/13) – Apple now lists “Includes general performance and stability improvements,” for the 6.0.1 update on their Apple TV Software Updates page.
