We knew the new iPhone 5s would be in short supply during its initial launch, and now with the Apple’s online stores in the Asia-Pacific region beginning to accept orders for the hot new device, we’re seeing delivery dates stretching out into “October” for some models in some countries.
In both Australia and China, all models in all colors are showing shipping estimates of 7-10 business days at launch, with Hong Kong and Singapore seeing even longer estimates simply stating “October”.
The already extended shipping dates indicate supplies are going to be tight around the world, which will lead to limited availability in stores and online. Your best bet may be to get out of bed and order your 5s when they become available for order online at 12:01AM Pacific, 3:01AM Eastern time. (Or, you can stay in bed and order a phone using the Apple Store app on your current iOS device. Worked out beautifully for me last year at pre-order time.)
