Standing in line right now, daydreaming of a white/silver or gold iPhone 5S? Well, you better be outside of an Apple Retail Store right now, because otherwise your chances of getting anything except a Space Gray iPhone 5s fall somewhere between slim and none.
Every carrier source we’ve talked to and every US retail outlet we’ve heard from has told us that they are only getting in Space Grey iPhone 5s devices for sale. That’s not to say some stock might arrive late tonight and throughout the day tomorrow.
9to5Mac does have sources farther up the line telling them that a few white/silver, and even fewer gold iPhone 5s shipments are tricking into warehouses, but not enough for wide coverage.
Perhaps a few high profile retailers may have a bigger allotment, but one retailer suggested ordering online, saying: “Customers can of course order all colors online through us.”
This has been expected, and reports from countries where the iPhone 5s is already on sale are telling us what we already knew, the iPhone 5s, in any configuration or color, is going to be a tough find.
I myself am hoping to score a gold precious online at 2AM my local time, however my fellow MacTrast Editor, Mr. J. Glenn Künzler is going to take a shot at going out and getting in line at his local Apple Store. Good luck to us all!
