Continuing their long string of recent content updates for the popular Apple TV set-top box, Apple today updated the device yet again, adding two new channels to the home screen on the server side. The new Disney Junior and Major League Soccer apps will show up automatically with no need for the user to update their device.
The MLS app offers free scores and game highlights, as well as live game viewing for a $15-per-month fee. The Disney Junior app also requires a paid Cable subscription to the Disney Junior channel in order to take advantage of the majority of its features. The Disney Junior app joins the existing Disney Channel and Disney XD apps introduced last month. The update is available now for app users running the latest version of the Apple TV software.
Apple also released a major Apple TV firmware update earlier this week, adding one-tap setup of the Apple TV from an iOS 7 device, and more.
