With the debut of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, Apple is back in the business of making docks and cases for their two new devices. Apple’s iPhone Accessories Page shows a variety of colorful cases for the new iPhone 5c, and a selection of leather cases for the more upscale iPhone 5s. And yes dock lovers, Apple is selling official docks for both devices.
First off, the iPhone 5s has a variety of leather cases available directly from Apple. The cases are available in six different colors, including a special PRODUCT (RED) selection. The cases are available for $39 in the Apple Online Store.
Next up are the colorful cases available for the iPhone 5c. Apple offers six different colors, making a possible 30 color combinations when combined with the 5 available iPhone 5c colors. These cases are available for $29 in the Apple Online Store.
Quick calculation: 5 (1 of each available color) unsubsidized 16GB iPhone 5c’s at $549 apiece, along with 6 (again, 1 of each available color) iPhone 5c cases at $29 apiece = $2919 (before tax) to make sure you can complete any of the 30 possible color combos. If my math is off there, I’m sure someone will be kind enough to let me know in the comments section below.
And if you’ve missed having a first-party docking option for your iPhone, Apple is back in the dock business, offering a custom dock for both the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c.
