French site Nowhereelse.fr [Google Translation] has posted what it claims are photos of the back casing of the next-generation iPad. The images show what appears to be a silver casing, and jibes with a previous report that claimed the next-generation full-sized iPad would use the same touch-panel technology as that of the current-generation iPad mini, in order to attain a smaller size.
The images also show a rear shell for an iPad mini, although it is unclear whether the part is intended to be for the current iPad mini or a second-generation model.
The past few months have seen numerous reports claiming to be leaks about both the upcoming full-sized and iPad mini models.
Apple is expected to release a thinner, full-sized iPad and a new model of the iPad mini, possibly featuring a Retina display, some time in the last three months of the year. They are expected to debut in a separate media event, following the debut of the new iPhone(s) in September.
