Apple has just given their iCloud beta site a pretty dramatic makeover – and they took a leaf out of the iOS 7 design book to do it! As first noted by 9to5Mac, the beta.icloud.com site, available to all registered Apple developers and many consumers who have been invited to participate, has been completely redesigned with a flatter, smoother iOS 7-inspired look.
It’s the first time Apple has brought iOS 7’s design language to anything but iOS 7 – OS X Mavericks has largely been devoid of the radical changes made to its mobile counterpart. With the move to bring iCloud into parallel design with iOS 7, Apple has shown that they’re not afraid to flatten their desktop platforms just as much as they’ve flattened iOS 7. I can only imagine that iWork for iCloud is next – paving the way for even bigger design changes in next year’s release of Mac OS.
What do you think of the new design? You can check it out in greater detail in this hands-on video from 9to5Mac!
