Alongside the release of iOS 7 Beta 5 earlier today, Apple also released their fourth developer beta of the Apple TV 6.0 software update. The update is available through the Software Update panel (by opening the Apple TV Settings menu, and using the Software Update) on devices running a previous beta, as well as for direct download from Apple’s developer site.
There don’t appear to be any significant changes in the latest update, despite the release notes stating that “you can now use an iOS 7 device to set up an Apple TV after restoring or resetting all settings” (a feature that was actually rolled out with the previous Apple TV beta). The previous beta also offered the ability to purchase iTunes music directly on the Apple TV unit.
The new beta is available now for the second and third-generation Apple TV models, as well as the tweaked third-generation model released quietly this March. Direct links can be found below. Please let us know if you find any significant changes in the new beta!
