Some Adobe Photoshop users were reporting last month that their new 2013 MacBook Air was exhibiting sever flickering when using some of the brush tools in Photoshop. Not all users experienced the issue, but an Adobe representative stated that it was a driver or GPU issue, and that Apple would need to come up with a fix.
Today, a MacRumors tipster tells us the flickering issue has been fixed in the OS X 10.8.5 beta released to developers today. The bug made Photoshop nearly unusable for a number of MacBook Air users.
Some users had reported that upgrading to the developer release of OS X Mavericks had solved the problem for them, so the fix may possibly have been borrowed from that code..
