Evernote has upgraded both their free and premium level iPhone and iPad apps, adding synced shortcuts, Skitch integration to allow marking up images and PDFs, and a new related notes tool.
The latest update brings two of the company’s products together by integrating Skitch mark up capabilities into the flagship Evernote app. Premium subscription holders have the added ability to mark up embedded PDF documents, or turn a note into an editable PDF, in Skitch, then save the document back to Evernote. This feature requires users to download the free Skitch app.
The new Shortcuts, formerly known as “Favorites,” saves notes, notebooks, tag and searches to a hub accessible from a tab at the bottom of any screen.
Recently opened notes are now displayed at the bottom of every open note page.
A new section for Evernote company announcements has been added, and users can submit support requests from within the app.
