Apple Seeds Apple TV 5.4 Beta 3 to Developers, Adds ‘Setup With iOS Device’, iTunes Music Purchasing, and More

Alongside the release of iOS 7 beta 4 earlier today, Apple has also seeded a third beta of the Apple TV 5.4 software to developers, adding a great new feature that allows users to set up their Apple TV using their iOS device after a restore or reset (using Bluetooth 4.0), as noted in the below picture shared by Benedict Evans on Twitter:

As noted by MacRumors, the new beta also allows you to purchase iTunes tracks directly on the Apple TV. The feature supports purchasing of both individual songs and entire albums. You can check out a couple of screenshots, as well as a video of the feature in action below.

The new Apple TV beta is available now for paid members of Apple’s iOS Developer Program. The public release is expected this fall, alongside iOS 7.
