Apple Developer Center Back Online Following 8-Day Outage

Following a security breach that led to Apple taking their entire developer portal offline for a security revamp, Apple’s Developer Center is finally back online once again after its extended 8-day outage. The new status page now shows that most areas of Apple’s developer are now back online – although a few portions, such as program renewals, videos, tech support, and Apple’s Developer Forums remain offline for the time being.

Apple has also sent the following email to developers alerting them of the change:

We appreciate your patience as we work to bring our developer services back online. Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles, software downloads, and other developer services are now available. If you would like to know the availability of a particular system, visit our status page.

If your program membership expired or is set to expire during this downtime, it will be extended and your app will remain on the App Store. If you have any other concerns about your account, please contact us.

Thank you for bearing with us while we bring these important systems back online. We will continue to update you on our progress.

The good news is that developers can finally once again access Apple’s developer downloads (including pre-release betas), register devices, create certificates, and perform other tasks essential to developing software for Apple’s various platforms.

Nice to see you up and running again, Apple Developer Center!
