Apple released a nice little update for their iTunes U app – used to take advantage of a host of free online high school and university courses from Stanford and other educational institutions. The update adds significantly improved support for several languages, as well as the addition of a handy pull-to-update feature.
From the release notes:
What’s New in Version 1.3.1
This update to iTunes U:
• Checks for course updates when you pull to refresh the notepad
• Resolves an issue that may prevent courses from updating
• Fixes a problem where iTunes U may unexpectedly quit when opening the Catalog repeatedly
• Improves support for Arabic, French, German, Greek, Italian, Russian, and Spanish
While the app still hasn’t been updated for iOS 7 (and probably won’t be until OS 7 is publicly released), it’s still great to see Apple updating their apps with handy tweaks and improvements. The update is available immediately for free from the App Store:
