Review: Animal Rescue – An Addictive Puzzle Game for iPhone

Puzzle games are a dime a dozen when it comes to the iOS App ecosystem, but finding the right kind of puzzler for your tastes can sometimes be more difficult than the game itself.  Finding games that incorporate fun graphics, a wide range of difficulties, and offer hours of play isn’t always easy, but Animal Rescue for iPhone incorporates all the elements of a fantastic puzzler.

Overview:

Animal Rescue ($0.99 in the App Store) is a fun, and challenging puzzle game for iPhone.  Your goal is to guide the various animals to the exit, and help them escape. All the while, the levels get harder and more intricate.

Each level has a maximum possible moves to earn full points, and each move beyond that maximum takes away a point. 10 points for each level is a perfect score, and the more points you earn, the quicker you can unlock even more levels.

Animal Rescue also features 3 gameplay modes. Story Mode walks you through the basics of the game, teaching you how to move the various fences to clear the path for the animals to escape.  Free Play allows you to take on the hundreds of levels without any story, tutorial, or challenge against friends.  The third game mode is multiplayer, which allows you to play random opponents on Game Center, or challenge your friends.

Verdict: [rating: 4.5]

Animal Rescue is a fun, and addicting game, that’s great for a wide range of players.  Using animals is a great way to make a game appeal to any audience, and the huge range of difficulties makes Animal Rescue perfect for every age. Integrating Game Center challenges into Animal Rescue makes it even more fun to play against your friends for the highest score.
