Google New ‘All-Access’ Music Service Coming to iOS Within ‘A Few Weeks’

Remember the new Google Play All Access music subscription service that launched earlier this month? Google Chrome and Android Chief Sundar Pichai just confirmed that the service will be available on iOS devices – and it’s coming within just a few weeks!

In an interview at the D11: All Things Digital conference, Pichai noted Google’s desire for the service to be universally accessible to users of all major platforms. Here’s the direct quote, via TheNextWeb:

“In Google’s fundamental DNA…is that we wanted to be universally accessible, and I think that philosophy carries through to today,” said Pichai. “A couple of weeks from now, we’re going to launch Google All Access Music…the teams are working like crazy to make it available on iOS. In a few weeks, we’ll launch Google Play Music All Access for iOS.”

Aimed squarely at the heart of Spotify and RDIO, the service offers unlimited music streaming, complete with playlists and music suggestions based on songs already in your collection, and full access to Google Play Music’s entire catalog. It also allows you to create customized streaming radio stations with any albums, songs, genres, etc that you choose.

Once the service becomes available on iOS, you’ll be able to take advantage for just $10 per month, with a 30 day free trial – and early birds who sign up by June 30th can sign up for $8 per month. Check out the official Google Play Music site for more details, or to sign up in advance.
