Let’s face it, there are plenty of people who don’t like to wear a watch. As much as I am enamored of the smart watches that are hitting the market, it’s been 4 years since I wore one on my wrist, could I even get used to it again? But what about a bracelet, especially one that you could set to glow with different colors for different notifications from your iPhone? Enter the Kickstarter of the week: The EMBRACE+
From the EMBRACE+ Kickstarter page:
Nowadays smartphones affect every aspect of our personal and professional lives. We use it for organizing, planning and interacting with each other. But our busy lives require us to focus on work, activities and obligations. We are afraid we miss important calls, messages, and reminders. We become restless and lack concentration on almost anything while we keep checking our phones. It happens to us every day all the time. With the EMBRACE+, those days are over!
The EMBRACE+ is wearable technology. Through a combination of visual and tactile cues, the EMBRACE+ gives you the information you want to know – while your smartphone stays in your pocket or purse.
By setting up parameters via your iPhone or Android smartphone app, the EMBRACE+ can let you know when various notifications occur. You can control what it shows, how it displays your information, and how frequently you see the information. The EMBRACE+ app allows you to match colors with your contacts, updates, reminders, and messages.
What’s the band made of? The website says: “The EMBRACE+ band is made of the highest quality transparent silicone produced in the U.S. ensuring 100% silicone with no harmful additives. It has been strength-tested for durability and is lead-free.”
The EMBRACE+ is also waterproof so you can wear it even if you’re in the shower, doing outdoor activities and even while taking a dip in the pool.
Pledges for the EMBRACE+ project run anywhere from $5, you get your name on their website, up to $249 where you’ll get an EMBRACE+, charger, an exclusive hand-screen print and more.
The EMBRACE+ Kickstarter project is currently a little over halfway to their goal, with 42 days to go in the drive. Jump over to the website and check it out. [DIRECT LINK]
