Now that we’ve seen much of the recent sales and activation data from U.S. iPhone carriers for the last three months, it appears that the iPhone is seriously kicking butt in the U.S. smartphone market. In fact, according to charts and details posted by Benedict Evans, the iPhone accounted for a whopping 57% of all smartphone activations over the past three months!
Q1 2013 US smartphone share
Numbers for the three big US operators that carry the iPhone (T-Mobile, which didn’t in Q1, hasn’t released the Q1 numbers yet). iPhone was 57% of smartphone activations and 49% of ALL contract phone sales. Smartphones are 86% of contract sales.

Keep it up, Apple!
