Tim Cook’s Popularity Amongst Apple Employees Drops 4%

Tim Cook remains among the most popular CEOs, but his approval rating has dropped 4% from last year, a new ranking from Glassdoor (via MacGeneration) shows. It is based purely on employee feedback shared during the year, so it’s a great source for job seekers.

Mark Zuckerberg in contrast rose a massive 14% to take top spot, with a 99% approval rating. Tim Cook has 93%, which is slightly behind Larry Page of Google who has 95% and on par with Jeff Bezos, who also has 93%.

Take from this what you will, but it will be interesting to see if the Apple CEO will be able to buck the trend next year, and overtake Bezos and Page. Cook’s decision to hire John Browett was hugely unpopular among employees, but now he’s gone, I would expect the rating to go up next year.
