Chevy Sonic TV Ad Promotes Siri Eyes Free Feature

Chevrolet released its first automobile model with Siri Eyes Free built-in a little over a month ago, and now the car builder has released its first ad campaign promoting the Chevy Sonic’s compatibility with the Apple iOS feature.

AppleInsider:

In a possible nod to Apple’s signature minimalist design, the 30-second spot shows a white Chevrolet Sonic being driven around a virtually all-white space, the driver interacting with Siri by pressing a steering wheel-mounted button that activates the iOS digital assistant.

The Sonic integrates with Siri via the Chevrolet MyLink entertainment system. A user’s smartphone capabilities are aligned with the system’s features. Using Siri and MyLink integration, users can make voice-activated, hands-free calls to iPhone contacts, play songs from their iTunes libraries, listen to and compose texts, and access Calendar functions.

Chevrolet is the first to release a model with Siri Eyes Free integration. The car maker is scheduled to rollout another model, the Spark, that will also include the Siri integration features.

Other car makers who have announced that they’ll be bringing Siri Eyes Free functionality into some of their models include: BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover, Toyota, Jaguar, Audi, and Honda.
