HBO broadcasts a lot of popular shows, and Bloomberg reports that they could be coming to your Apple TV in the near future. Negotiations are underway with Time Warner to port the HBO Go app to the Apple TV, allowing subscribers to watch all the HBO content they want on Apple’s black box.
Adding HBO content would definitely make another good selling point, and add to the competition between it and, for example, the Roku. The Apple TV has always been one of Apple’s least popular offerings, however once you buy one you realise what a great product it is.
Rumors of Apple making a full TV set have been in the air over the past year or so, but it is still unclear exactly when such a product would come to market.
