Settlement Reached Over Use Of Eye In Retina Macbook Pro Advertising

Remember a few months ago when a Swiss artist sued Apple for using her image of an eye in the Retina Macbook Pro’s marketing? That case has now been settled is a court ordered dismissal from last Wednesday (viewable below), CNET reports. Finally, I can get a good night’s sleep without worrying about the outcome!

While Sabine Liewald licensed the image for ‘layout purposes only’, Apple technically used it commercially, hence the issue.

More details were not revealed, and Apple was unavailable for comment.
