The high capacity SSDs have always been unaffordable to most, but Crucial is changing that. Today, it announced the first ever 960GB hard drive for under $600, significantly cheaper than other terabyte class SSDs, which are normally priced around the $1,000 mark.
Made in collaboration with Micron, the M500 also comes in 120GB, 240GB and 480GB capacities.

It comes in the 2.5 inch form factor, like most SSDs, and uses SATA III (6Gbps). It also of course Mac and PC compatible.
