Samsung Exec Praises Apple’s Ecosystem: ‘I’ve always used Mac, an iPhone, and an iPad’

In an interview published today by MIT Technology Review, Samsung’s chief strategy officer Young Sohn shares his views on technology, Samsung’s future plans, and Samsung’s competition with Apple. In the process, he let’s slip a pretty interesting revelation: He prefers using a Mac. iPhone, and iPad rather than Samsung’s own products!

MIT Technology Review:

OK, so think about Apple compared to Samsung. I use a Mac, actually, at home. I’ve always used Mac, an iPhone, and an iPad. I also have the Galaxy. So I’m a great example.

At work I’m using Samsung devices; Apple at home, mainly because all of my systems and files are done that way. That’s sticky, you know? However, I did figure out how to sync all of my contacts and all of my schedules between the two different systems. You can do it. It’s a bit of work, but it is possible.

Samsung’s chief strategy offer is a closet Apple fanboy! No wonder why Samsung won’t let up in their attempts to mimic Apple! In all seriousness, though, the article does discuss some important differences between Apple and Samsung, and has some interesting insights – it’s definitely worth a read if you have the time!
