Apple Adds New ‘App-Enabled Accessories’ Category to their Online Store

If you’ve been an iOS device user for very long at all, chances are good that you’ve seen or heard of app-enabled accessories for iOS devices, or even used some. These accessories use your iPhone to control or enhance their features, and range from WiFi scales, blood pressure cuffs, RC quadricopters, light bulbs, thermostats, and everything in between.

Apple has long offered such devices in their online and retail stores – and as of today, they’re giving this category of products a bit of extra attention by adding a new “App-Enabled Accessories” category  to the Apple Online Store.

As you might expect, the new category features all sorts of great gadgets for all sorts of purposes – and with the holiday season fast approaching, their timing couldn’t be better! Check out the new category today and see what you think!
