F1 2012 Hits The Mac

Who cares, I hear you Americans say. I tell you who. All the Europeans who dream of being Sebastian Vettel or Lewis Hamilton while overtaking somebody on their way to work.

Until now, the F1 games have essentially been limited to consoles, and so F1 2012 the first time ever that Mac users will be able to get behind the wheel as Vettel, Alonso or any of the other drivers. What’s more, the graphics look stunning and it’s arrive just in time for Christmas.

It seems like Feral did a really good job with this, and while it’s not the cheapest game at $50, I think it’s worth the money.

To run it, you’ll need a Mac running 10.7.5 or later, as well as a 2Ghz processor, 4GB of RAM, 12GB of free storage space, and a 512MB graphics card. It’s important to note, however, that the following graphics cards are not supported:

ATI X1xxx, ATI HD2xxx, Intel GMA, Intel HD3000, NVIDIA 7xxx, NVIDIA 8xxx , NVIDIA 9400 or NVIDIA 320M

To download, buy it via Feral’s site here. The boxed version isn’t yet available, but you can download immediately.
