As Apple continues to strengthen their iPhone 5 supplies even more, iPhone 5 ship times at the Apple Online Store have now improved to just one week! This follows the previous improvement just one week ago to 1-2 week shipping times.
The improvement should be taken as a sign that iPhone 5 supply is finally catching up with demand, even considering the manufacturing challenges Apple is facing while producing the device. An official with Foxconn, Apple’s manufacturing partner, stated that the iPhone 5 was the “most difficult device that Foxconn has ever assembled,” and later noted that they were struggling to keep up with demand.
For those that want an iPhone 5 sooner than a week from now, Apple still offers a reservation system, allowing you to reserve an iPhone 5 between 10 PM and 4 AM, and pick it up at an Apple Retail Store when it opens the next day.
