36 years ago, two people called Steve walked into the Byte Shop in Mountain View, California to try and sell their Apple I. Little did they know they were going to completely change the world.
Paul Terrell, the owner of the store, has just released some amazing photos of the Apple I stripped down, running on a video monitor, Techland reports. Take a look, as they’re pretty cool.
Without Terrell and the Byte Store, who persuaded Jobs and Wozniak to sell the Apple I as a full computer and not as a DIY hobby kit, things would be very different today.
The Apple I originally sold for $666.66, however considering their extreme rarity today, they are now much more expensive. Sotheby’s sold one for $374,500) back in June.
