An announcement on Adobe’s website announcing their upcoming “Create Now Live” event contains a video that appears to show a Retina Display MacBook Pro running Photoshop CS6, leading to speculation that the photo editing application will soon be getting its promised native Retina Display support.
As noted by Mac Otakara, the embedded video shows a MacBook Pro with Retina display running Photoshop CS6 in what looks to be the laptop’s native Hi-DPI screen resolution.
One intriguing piece of evidence is the above screenshot, which shows off the smooth font and mouse cursor reproduction of the Retina Display.
Adobe had announced in August that it would be supporting the Retina Display MacBook Pro in both Lightroom 4 and Photoshop CS6 by the end of 2012. Adobe released the updated Lightroom earlier this month, with support for both the 13-in and 15-in Retina capable MacBook Pro models.
The “Create Now Live” event is scheduled for December 11th. Topics will include new features of Creative Cloud, and design talks from industry pros.
