A lot has changed since the original iPhone was released in 2007. Over the last 5 generations, the iPhone has changed form a number of times, growing gradually thinner, lighter, and now with the iPhone 5, taller.
The above image, captured by iMore, shows how the iPhone’s profile has changed over the years. It’s interesting to see how the various elements of shape and thickness have changed.
The iPhone’s profile is certainly not all that has evolved – additional images show how the face, shape, and even the size of the SIM card required to use the device on many carriers have changed significantly as well.
