Arguably the three big players on the tablet market now are the iPad, the Kindle Fire HD and the Microsoft Surface. And this Mashable chart compares all three in the mother of all tablet fights.
As you can see, the Surface has the biggest screen, but the iPad quite comfortably has the best resolution ahead of the Kindle Fire. Battery life is fairly close between all three, even though the iPad does just edge it ahead of the Fire.
