Launch Day Supply of 4th-Gen iPad Preorders Sells Out

It took a little longer to sell out the preorders of the 4th-generation iPad than it did its smaller relative, but after four days, all of the preorder supply of the latest full-size iPad is sold out.

AppleInsider:

New orders for all models of the latest full-size 9.7-inch iPad are now advertised to ship in one week. That applies to all capacities ranging from 16 to 64 gigabytes, as well as both black and white colors.

Quick-clicking customers who were among the first to buy the 4th-generation iPad will receive their devices on launch day, this Friday. There should also be additional iPads available at Appleā€™s retail stores for those still wanting 4th-gen goodness on launch day.

The new full-sized iPad was announced last week along with the new, smaller iPad mini. The new flagship device has a faster A6X processor, forward-facing FaceTime HD camera, and the new Lightning connector. The new model replaces the 3rd-generation iPad which went on sale in March. The new version starts at the same price point its predecessor did, $499 for a 16GB Wi-Fi only model.
