With the iPhone 5, Apple has increased the size of the iPhone display for the first time ever, stretching the display vertically to add an extra row of apps and a bit more viewable content. But how does the new taller iPhone display compare to larger Android phones? Reddit user pic10F206 has created a nice illustration putting it into perspective (via Redmond Pie). There are mixed feelings about how Apple handled the size increase. Some feel they should have gone – although on the other hand, many find the narrower width of the iPhone to be more comfortable to use, especially one handed. Plus, 16 x 9 video looks great on the new display!
Judge for yourself – but it’s nice to see it in perspective either way!
