Alongside reports that Apple will launch a 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro, and possibly new iMacs at next week’s iPad Mini media event, 9to5Mac reports that Apple is planning to release a new Mac Mini as well.
Alongside the smaller iPad, Apple plans to announce a new version of its Mac mini. Sources say that these Mac minis will come in two standard configurations, with different storage and processor options, and a third model that runs OS X Server.
The new Mac Mini models will reportedly be available to order immediately after they are announced. The Mac Mini is certainly overdue for an update, as the last refresh occurred over one year ago. The new models will likely include USB 3.0 support, as well as newer Ivy Bridge processors.
