Apple Slashes Pricing on iPhone 4 and 4S, 3GS Nowhere to Be Seen

Among the many announcements made at Apple’s iPhone media event today were  pricing changes to Apple’s previous iPhone models. Apple has slashed the price of the iPhone 4S to just $99 (with a 2 year contract), and the iPhone 4 is now available free through U.S. carriers.

 Alongside the price slashing, Apple also discontinued the iPhone 3GS. It’s sad yes, but as we’ve uttered on multiple occasions, it’s time has simply come. RIP, iPhone 3GS!
