Apple’s new iPhone is set to debut in little more than a week, and the rumors and leaks surrounding the device keep increasing in both frequency and intensity. We’ve already seen a swarm of part leaks, leaked photos, and reports from numerous credible sources, and the reports just keep flooding in!
The latest juicy tidbit is a fully assembled mockup of the news iPhone that surfaced at the IFA trade show in Berlin last week, showing off what are thought to be the actual measurements and specs from Apple’s actual next-hen iPhone.
The mockup was first spotted by GSM Israel, although The Verge (via MacRumors) was able to get their hands on the mockup as well, and posted a number of pictures and a high-quality examining the device, and comparing it to Apple’s previous iPhone models.
The mockup is only used as model for case manufacturers, but the company showing off the mockup is confident enough in the measurements that they have already begun manufacturing cases and accessories based on the design.
Of course, the mockup could still be fake – but it lines up well with what we have seen so far about the new iPhone. Even if it’s just a mockup, we can still gain some meaningful insight. We’ll all know for sure on September 12!
Apple’s next iPhone is rumored to feature a taller 4-inch screen, thinner design, and a two-tone metal rear casing, as well as a smaller dock connector, relocated FaceTime camera, and LTE support, among other things. For all the latest details, check out our iPhone 5 rumor roundup!
