Finally! After months of rumors, leaked parts, mockups and more, Apple has sent out the invitations to the big iPhone special event, which we now know will be held on September 12 in the Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts, San Francisco, The Loop reports.
If Apple doesn’t announce the next iPhone after everything at the event, the world will implode. OK, maybe that’s an exaggeration, but this has had huge build up and anything else would be a huge disappointment.
The event will be held at 10:00 AM Pacific, as always with Apple, so make sure you get up bright and early (if you’re in the US) to catch up on the rumors and get ready. I can’t wait! As always, we’ll be covering the announcement live, so tune in on the 12th for all the latest!
Apple’s next iPhone is rumored to feature a taller 4-inch screen, thinner design, and a two-tone metal rear casing, as well as a smaller dock connector, relocated FaceTime camera, new smaller nano-SIM, and LTE support.

Update: As numerous readers have noted, the 12 casts the shadow of a 5 – looks like Apple’s new iPhone will probably be called the iPhone 5 after all!
