Now that Apple has won the patent trial against Samsung, the company has listed which devices it will ask the court to ban for infringement. The list mostly includes Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones, although it also mentions the Droid Charge as an outlier.
The Verge shares the full list of eight devices, taken directly from the court filing:
The filing specifically targets the devices that were the worse offenders in violating Apple patents. In order to secure a ban on the devices, Apple must prove that they’ll face “irreparable harm” if the devices remain for sale unmodified.
While the jury’s verdict of patent infringement is likely to make it easier for Apple to argue for an injunction, the matter is still not given. Judge Koh will still need to evaluate Apple’s claim, and Apple’s argument regarding harm from the devices will need to be very solid.
A hearing regarding the injunction is already scheduled for September 20th. You can check out the full filing from Apple here (PDF).
