Adding to the already lengthy list of leaked parts for Apple’s upcoming next-gen iPhone and rumored iPad mini, repair firm iResq (via MacRumors) has posted new photos of what they claim are the dock connector for the new devices, in both black and white.
The above photo shows the supposed next-gen iPhone dock connector. The part shows 8 gold contact pins for the connector, and it’s suspected that the metal base serves as a ninth pin, which lines up with previous claims, as well as a reference to a 9-pin connector discovered in iOS 6.
Also pictured are the dock connector and headphone jack assembly for the rumored 8-inch iPad mini in both black and white, seemingly confirming previous claims that the headphone jack will be located on the bottom rather than the top.
