Since AT&T has changed its policy regarding FaceTime over 3G – restricting it to only new and expensive plans, there has been outrage and disbelief. There has even been talk of trouble with the FCC, but now it’s time for people to have their say, and a petition from FreePress (via 9to5Mac) has already garnered significant support.
The petition, which is addressed to the FCC, highlights four key ways in which AT&T’s policy is wrong, and all of them are obvious, including that it breaks the FCC’s own rules.
It has got a lot of support from many people and Apple sites, so hopefully this will make the situation better – AT&T’s approach is unacceptable, and something will have to give. If you want to sign up to the petition, you can do so here.
