Ever feel wasteful using Macaroni to create your masterpieces, but you just can’t bring yourself to work in another medium? How about being able to help feed the hungry while you’re saving your macaroni for the thing it was intended for, yummy Mac & Cheese. With Kraft’s new iPad app, you can do both.
From the Feeding America Website:
In many ways, America is the land of plenty. But for 1 in 6 people in the United States, hunger is a reality. Many people believe that the problems associated with hunger are confined to small pockets of society, certain areas of the country, or certain neighborhoods, but the reality is much different.
Right now, millions of Americans are struggling with hunger. These are often hard-working adults, children and seniors who simply cannot make ends meet and are forced to go without food for several meals, or even days.
It’s easy to help this worthy cause, and it won’t cost you anything except the time it takes to download a free app to your iPad, start the app, and have some fun making some virtual macaroni art.
Until 12/31/2012, when you use the Kraft Mac & Cheese “Dinner, Not Art.” iPad app to create virtual macaroni art, you’ll be helping to feed the hungry right here in America. For every “digital noodle” used in saved art, Kraft will donate 10 noodles to Feeding America, up to 110,000,000 noodles. A maximum of 100 digital noodles can be used in each piece of art. For a maximum noodle donation of 1,000 noodles per piece of art.
Choose your canvas, place noodles, rotate noodles, size noodles, paint noodles, and use the paintbrush to create your macaroni masterpiece without ever wasting a single real noodle.
Save your digital masterpiece to your digital refrigerator. If you’re really proud of your creation, make it eligible for the Macaroni Masterpiece Gallery on their Facebook page and Pinterest account.
Even if you don’t have an iPad, you can still have fun while helping to feed the hungry by visiting the KRAFT Mac & Cheese “Dinner, Not Art.” website. On your PC or Mac, you can still create digital macaroni art and help feed the hungry.
The app is free in the App Store. (Direct Link)
