As Apple’s iPad Mini comes closer to it’s anticipated fall launch date (where it could easily crush the competition with its sub-$300 price tag), leaks surrounding the device are becoming more common.
Following last week’s report from a trio of credible sources on the specs of the smaller iPad (including a narrower bezel, and an ultra-thin profile), new images have surfaced showing cases for the device – and interestingly enough, they match up perfectly with the rumored specs!
The images appeared on Chinese blog Giz-China.com (via MacRumors), and show multiple types of cases. Also interesting is that all of the cases feature a hole for a rear camera – something which hasn’t been heavily supported yet as a feature f the smaller iPad.
The iPad mini is expected to be as thin as an iPod touch, and feature a narrow bezel. The device is also expected be announced alongside the next-gen iPhone on September 12th (although it will likely be launched at a separate event), and is expected to be priced between $200 and $300 (1, 2).
As always, rumors are rumors until Apple speaks up for themselves – but things are stacking up in favor of this design…
