Every now and then an app comes along that’s so simple and addictive that you just can’t help getting sucked in! Zync: Touch is one of those apps – a simple, well-made, yet challenging new memory game released earlier today on the App Store!
At first glance, Zync: Touch is just like traditional memory games that most people are probably familiar with – a board of tiles that light up in sequence, challenging you to remember which tiles lit up, and in which order. A deeper look, however, reveals that Zync: Touch has made that concept its own, taking the memory game concept to a whole new level.
Beyond the traditional “normal” mode of memory game, Zync: Touch also has an Arcade Mode, which adds to the challenge by making each sequence completely random, rather than a continuation of a single sequence. This makes for a much more mentally taxing gameplay experience.
Most memory games would stop at this point – after all, there’s only so much you can do with a memory game, right? Wrong. Zync: Touch distinguishes itself once again by using themes to change up the feel of the game. In addition to the typical tile-based memory game, Zync: Touch also features a number of different patterned themes, each of which offers a slightly different matching experience.
Beyond the gameplay itself, Zync: Touch also includes Game Center integration to help you track your achievements, as well as the ability to share your high scores through Twitter and Facebook.
The graphics and the various theme designs are all very well done – this game is as gorgeous to look at as it is fun to play. And to make matters even better, the game is also extremely affordable: Just $0.99! For a game of this quality, you just can’t go wrong spending $1 for a game of this quality.
